Trump’s 2025 Crypto Earnings Top $1 Billion — Here’s Where Every Dollar Came From
A 927-page financial disclosure has put concrete numbers on something that critics of the Trump administration have raised concerns about since the president returned to office — just how much his family’s crypto ventures have benefited while he has been simultaneously shaping the regulatory environment around them.
Trump’s Full Financial Picture
According to NBC News’ coverage, Trump’s crypto-related earnings in 2025 alone exceeded $1 billion, with the biggest single source being a licensing agreement with Celebration Coins, a cryptocurrency operation specializing in memecoins. That arrangement reportedly generated more than $635 million in income last year.
Trump also reported more than $236 million from additional cryptocurrency token sales and over $65 million from equity sales tied to World Liberty Financial (WLFI), the crypto company backed by the president and his family.
Income from digital asset wallets associated with World Liberty Financial added more than $290 million on top of that. Token sales by World Liberty Financial alone accounted for more than $500 million in reported income, with another $196 million in equity sales of an entity called Stablecoin Holdco LLC.
The filing also disclosed Trump’s personal crypto holdings. He reported owning more than $50 million in Bitcoin and between $5 million and $25 million in Ethereum, among other digital assets.
Beyond crypto, the filing shows an $80 million figure from various licensing agreements and legal settlements with media outlets, along with millions more from products bearing the president’s name or face — Trump-branded watches alone brought in nearly $5 million.
Income from Mar-a-Lago, his Florida estate, came in at nearly $300 million, with additional earnings from golf properties in Bedminster, New Jersey, and Washington, DC. Taken together across all his holdings, the president reported total income of at least $2.2 billion for the year.
Crypto Profits, Crypto Policy, And A Conflict Of Interest
Throughout 2025, Trump’s administration has been one of the most aggressively pro-crypto in US history, supporting the passage of the GENIUS Act last year, signing executive orders, and positioning the United States as what the White House has described as the “crypto capital of the world.”
Critics have argued that the president’s direct financial stake in crypto markets creates an inherent conflict of interest when his administration is simultaneously setting the rules for those markets.
The CLARITY Act, currently working its way through the Senate, contains a contested ethics provision specifically aimed at barring government officials with digital asset business ties from shaping related legislation — a provision the White House has indicated it will not accept.
The administration pushed back on that framing directly. “Neither the President nor his family has ever engaged — or will ever engage — in conflicts of interest,” a White House spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday.
