Hyperliquid (HYPE) Is Now On Singapore’s Investor Alert List β Here Is What That Actually Means
Hyperliquid (HYPE), one of the marketβs leading decentralized exchanges (DEXs) by trading volume, was added to the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Investor Alert List on Friday β joining a growing roster of crypto firms that regulators in the city-state have flagged for operating without local authorization.
Hyperliquid Says Nothing Has ChangedΒ
The MAS Investor Alert List is not a ban. It is not an enforcement action, and it does not constitute a finding of wrongdoing. The list exists to flag entities that, based on information available to the regulator, may be mistakenly perceived by members of the public as being licensed, authorized, or regulated by MAS.Β
Hyperliquid addressed the development directly in a post on X (formerly Twitter), making clear that the exchange has never claimed to be licensed or authorized by MAS and that no one should regard it as such.
Hyperliquid has been added to the MAS’s Investor Alert List (IAL). IAL listing does not constitute a ban, an enforcement action, or a finding of wrongdoing. The IAL provides a list of entities that, based on information available to MAS, may be wrongly perceived as being licensedβ¦

“Hyperliquid is permissionless infrastructure,” the team wrote, adding that nothing about the network has changed as a result of the listing. Users maintain self-custody at all times, and all transactions continue to settle transparently and fully on-chain, the team said.Β
The post concluded with a commitment to engaging collaboratively with regulators globally and supporting clear, well-designed frameworks for on-chain finance.
MAS previously added Binance to the same list back in 2021 and subsequently ordered the exchange to stop serving Singapore residents entirely. KuCoin followed in February of this year. Bybit was added on June 17 after regulators determined it had been serving Singapore residents without authorization.Β
Hyperliquid’s situation is currently at the earlier end of that spectrum β it has been flagged, but access to the platform has not been blocked.
HYPE ETFs Just Had Their Best Day EverΒ
What makes Friday’s development particularly striking is what happened to HYPE, Hyperliquid’s native token, in the same session. Rather than selling off on the regulatory news, the token surged 5% and climbed back to the $65 level β leaving it 15% below its all-time high.Β
That resilience becomes even more notable when set against the broader market backdrop, which has been characterized by heavy selling pressure, large rotations out of crypto from both retail and institutional participants, and persistent bearish conditions.
The catalyst behind that price strength was a record-breaking day for HYPE spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These investment vehicles recorded $108 million in net inflows on Friday β their best single day ever β driven primarily by Grayscale’s HYPG ETF.Β
To put that figure in context, Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs have not seen a single day of $100 million or more in inflows since May. Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds last crossed that threshold in April. Solana (SOL) ETFs have never achieved it at all, with their all-time single-day peak standing at $70 million, set back in November 2025, according to SoSoValue data.
