XRP Price Approaches Critical $1 Level — Top Analyst Maps Out What Comes Next

The XRP price is sliding toward one of the most important price levels it has faced in almost two years. The altcoin has lost more than 22% over the past month, according to CoinGecko data, and is now pressing right up against the $1 support — a line that market analyst Sam Daodu says will say a lot about where it goes from here.

XRP Price Fights To Hold $1

Writing for 24/7 Wall St., Daodu explained why $1 has become such a critical line in the first place. As the token drifts closer to that level, buy and sell orders naturally pile up around it.

Buyers place bids hoping for a bounce, sellers stack offers just above the line, and existing holders set stop-losses. That concentration of orders, the analyst noted, is exactly what makes $1 the line to watch right now. It’s also what makes a break below that line so dangerous.

Once price actually falls under $1, all those stacked stop-losses trigger at once. Because so many traders are leaning on the same level, there isn’t much buying support left underneath to absorb the selling, which means a break could send the XRP price sliding further.

For now, Daodu pointed to specific demand that’s been holding the price above that line. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have continued pulling in capital even as the broader price falls, with roughly $15.34 million in net inflows recorded on June 29.

At the same time, XRP’s largest holders have been accumulating rather than selling, with the number of large wallets recently climbing to a record high of 332,230 back in May of this year. But should the $1 line finally give way, Daodu laid out what typically happens next.

What Could Happen Next

The former support becomes a new ceiling. Everyone who bought just above $1 expecting it to hold would suddenly find themselves underwater, and many of those traders would sell the moment price climbed back toward their entry point just to break even.

That selling pressure caps every subsequent bounce attempt, meaning each push to reclaim $1 runs into a fresh wave of people trying to exit, pushing the price back down again.

The XRP price has already lived through a version of this story at a higher level. A few weeks ago, $1.40 played the same role $1 is playing now. When that support broke, the altcoin dropped about 3.5% in its first move, falling from roughly $1.44 to $1.39, and $1.40 immediately flipped into resistance.

Every attempt to reclaim that level failed, and the price kept grinding lower — from $1.35 down to $1.30, then below $1.20, eventually arriving at its current trading level of $1.04. If $1 breaks in the same fashion, Daodu identified $0.90 and then $0.80 as the next round-number levels XRP could revisit.

Watch Bitcoin

The analyst’s overall conclusion is that a test of the $1 level “looks more likely than not,” given that the XRP price is already pressed against the line, the broader trend remains downward, and the demand currently holding the price up is thin.

The real variable to watch, according to Daodu, isn’t really XRP’s $1 line — it’s Bitcoin (BTC). Should market sentiment shift and Bitcoin climb back above $60,000 and hold there, the XRP price would likely have enough support to defend $1, and possibly push higher from there.
